Tynecastle Garage have successfully ran cars in The Scottish Mini Cup for the last 6 years finishing no lower than 3rd overall in the Championship. In 2006 our drive line up was car number 1 Oly Mortimer and Car no 11 Garry Meikle. With this driver line up we finished a respectful 1st & 3rd in the 2006 Championship. In 2007 we retained the driver line up and competed in the National Cooper S Championship. With several team 1st and 2nd places we also secured that championship. In 2008 we built a new car for Finlay Crocker from Corecut Ltd held the lap record at Knochill for 2008. In 2009 we were very successful with Michael Rowan (5) and Chris Knox (18) with many race wins between them.

Oly Mortimer returns to spearhead our title bid for the 2010 Championship. He will be driving the Number 2 car (Number only!) in the Tynecastle Garage Racing colours. Oly will be team mate to various of drivers this year as the Tynecastle Garage Guest car number 1 will have various of celebrities / guest. One date for the diary is Saturday 21^st August where Shane Lynch (Boyzone) will be racing the guest car. Vic Covey Snr, has arranged for the championship to be run over 8 rounds at Knockhill, Croft and Oulton Park with a fun 2 driver endurance race at Knockhill. Two other members of the team will be Geoff Gillis car No 10 entering the new comers cup assisted by JRM Coachworks and Louise Flitton car no 18 entering the new comers and Ladies cup assisted by Edinburgh born American Racer Robin Liddell who hopefully will race the guest car again some time this season. (With two out of three wins can he go better)
